After over 3 decades of inspiring and educating Harvard students, Jim Marvin will be leaving his post as Director of Choral Activities at Harvard in June.
On the weekend of April 30-May 2, 2010, the members, alumni and friends of the Radcliffe Choral Society, the Harvard Glee Club, and the Collegium Musicum are coming together to celebrate Jim's contributions to Harvard’s choral music program. We want you to be there with us!
All alumni from all conductor eras are encouraged to return to Cambridge to enjoy the festivities. This is a pivotal change for Harvard’s choral program, with a to-be-named new director starting in the fall, so it is a big moment for us all.
It will be a full Holden family affair. It promises to be a weekend full of song and camaraderie. This event will bring together hundreds of alumni and their spouses and kids, faculty, and students from all three Holden groups.
The program begins on Friday evening, April 30 2010, with Jim’s last concert in Sanders Theatre. Throughout the weekend, we’ll celebrate both as a pan-Holden large group and in our individual choral alumni groups. We'll enjoy a dessert reception after the Friday night concert, group sings and seminars on Saturday, a banquet dinner on Saturday night, and reunion activities for the individual groups on Sunday.
We all hope you will join us! Please review the schedule of events, bookmark this website for future visits, join our Facebook Group, and most importantly, REGISTER to attend!
